Refocus 重新聚焦

There are many things tend to distract us from our focus. If it happens in our journey of life towards achieving our focus, we need to know how to refocus ourselves, failing which, we cannot reach our destiny.

Whenever there is an obstacle or crisis on our way, we tend to lose sight of our focus and become terrified. Some of us may not terrified, but we will try troubleshooting. And often the troubleshooting is like firefighting. If there are ongoing obstacles, we present ourselves like firefighters. In the end, all our strength and resources are utilised for dealing with the obstacles, rather than, achieving our original focus.

Therefore, whenever there is any obstacle, we need to look at it objectively. We do not want to lose sight of our focus. As we find a way to deal with the obstacle, we do so by refocusing on our calling. We try to overcome the obstacle with emphasis upon our original focus. In other words, we try to resolve the issue facing us for achieving the focus. Using an example as below to elaborate an attempt to overcoming an obstacle leading to a step forward achieving our focus.

An organisation has been running a weekly gathering at a hall. They successfully increase their attendance until people complain for having insufficient of car parks. One of the ways is to get people to try carpooling, which can help ease the problem of insufficient car parks. But this may not be ideal as the people do not have the culture of sharing their cars with others. Some people may choose to leave the organisation because of the demand for carpooling.

Since changing culture is difficult and those coming to the gathering are individuals who don’t need to interact with others, carpool is indeed not a practical solution. The organiser instead should advocate of running the gathering twice a week. By so doing, this would help to downsize each gathering. By doing two times, it actually helps to multiply and increase the total attendance. And the focus is to get as many people as possible to the gathering. Then, the obstacle of having insufficient car parks is resolved by multiple gatherings leading to increasing attendance according to the focus.

有很多事情会分散我们的注意力。如果它发生在人生旅程导致了我们忽略焦点，我们很需要懂得重新聚焦，不然的话，我们便无法达到人生目标或焦点。

当我们面临障碍或危机，我们往往会恐惧或失却了原有焦点，有些人虽然不会害怕而尝试排除故障。通常，排除故障的方式一如消防员滅火，如果有障碍持续出现，我们就不断滅火。最后，我们所有的力量和资源都用于处理障碍，而不是为了实现原有的目标或焦点。

其实，若有障碍，我们就需要客观地看待它。我们不应忽视我们的焦点，当我们寻找解决障碍的方法时，我们必须保持关注原有的焦点。换句话说，我们是透过解决所面临的问题以实现目标。让我使用下面的例子来说明在克服障碍时能够导致我们按照焦点向前迈进。

有一个组织在一个大厅举行每周聚会。他们成功地增加了他们的出席率，直到参加者抱怨停车场不足。其中一种解决方法是要求出席者共用汽车，这有助于缓解停车场不足的问题。但这方法可能并不理想，因为出席者没有共享汽车的文化。由于停车场不足及要求共乘汽车，有些人可能会选择离开该组织及聚会。

由于改变文化很困难，而参加聚会的人並不需要与其他人交流，因此分享汽车确实不是一个实际的解决方案。而组织负责人可以主张每周举办两次聚会，並通过这样做而缩小了每次聚集的人数。然而，却透过一周两次聚集增加了出席率，符合原来的焦点是让更多的人能参加聚集。结果，原来停车场不足导致的障碍因通过多次聚集而獲解决，並导致符合原来的焦点而增加了出席率。
