Passion and Methods 激情与方法

There are successful people who have outstanding methods. Apparently, they owe their success to their methods, and many people are attracted to learn from their methods. However, when the same methods are utilised by different people, and many a time, these people can not attain their anticipated success. Indeed, their failure to be successful is due to various factors. One of the factors is a lack of passion.

Although appropriate methods are vital for the success of any business or project, passion is inevitable. The passionate people look for better methods to accomplish their goal. And they are prepared to pay the price to utilise the methods. They are willing to commit their time and resources so that the goal is accomplished. Comparatively, the people without passion may also look for effective methods. However, they look for effective methods with the hope that they don’t need to pay so much price for achieving the goal. When they have experienced that the effective utilisation of the methods does require them to pay a higher price, they tend to back off. Hence, they can not see success because of a lack of passion, although the methods can be very effective when utilised by passionate people.

成功人士几乎都有出色的辦事方法。表面上，他们是基于某种方法促使自己成功，而不少人因此被吸引去学习他们的方法。然而，相同的方法由不同的人加以应用，不少时候却没有达到他们预期的成功。其实，未能成功可以由于各种因素所造成，而其中的一个因素乃是缺乏激情。

虽然适当的方法对任何企业或计划的成功具有决定性的影响，但必竟激情是不可缺少的要素。充满激情的人会寻求更好的方法以达成他们的目标，他们也准备付出代价使用这些方法，因此他们愿意投入时间和资源以实现目标。相比之下，没有激情的人也可能会寻找有效的方法以完成目标。然而，他们寻求有效的方法是希望自己不必为实现目标付出太多的代价。如果他们發现了有效地使用某些方法会要求他们付出更高的代价，他们便会想到退缩。他们因为缺乏激情便无法看到成功，而这些方法由拥有激情的人使用则常常有效。
