A weekly curation contest adding a little boost to smaller accounts.

Feature #1
I usually try to find someone who I have not noticed interacting with the Pay it Forward crowd. This week the change in guidelines give me a chance to highlight someone who is always working to help the small fish grow. I am sure most of my readers know @simplymike (rep58)
Everyone should also be aware of this great opportunity. This is an extremely generous offer and could be a huge boost for anyone who needs the SP.

There is still plenty of time to enter as the official tally won't begin until this weekend.
Even if you aren't interested in the current contest pay a visit to the blog there are always interesting posts and often contest opportunities.
It is good for us all if we remember those who feed the tiny fish. These are the people who need help the most. The more they can grow the more they can offer help and support to the little guys. This eventually leads to growth and prosperity for us all.

My second feature is someone new to me. I ran across @roleerob (43) in someones comment section. The comment grabbed my interest so I went to check him out. I really loved that the first post I encountered was a review of another Steemians art work that he had purchased.

Looking a bit deeper I found someone who is invested in the platform. Someone who is putting serious effort in learning, and doing, what it takes to grow here. This is also someone I truly believe will be a huge asset to the Steemit community.

The pay it forward community has a new home! You can visit here @pifc to stay on top of the latest news and keep any eye open for new contest.
They are just getting set up and are still fund raising to build up SP. I am sure any upvotes or small donations would be very gladly received. The goal is to gain enough SP to run the contest from that account.
Also they are at the moment brainstorming ideas for smaller contests. These would also help grow the account.
Anyone with any ideas to help should go over and have a look.

I am really glad too! There are so many I would love to choose who are over the limit. After reading through her comments I am even more aware. I’ve missed so much while I was out. I didn’t even know you had changed the rules, @thedarkhorse. I’ll have to catch up with that (if I ever manage to catch up with everything that is on my to-do list. Being absent for 3 weeks causes a lot of work afterwards, lol)
But I’ll definitely take a look. I wanted to join this challenge right from the very beginning, but never had the chance. Maybe that will change in the near future :0)
You defiantly deserve a little extra traffic. Plus that prize could make a very big difference to someone. It is amazing how much more can be done when a person isn't always waiting for steem to build.

Don't worry about this one. It just changed this morning. A surprise for me as well since for once I had my post made up waiting to publish lol. Even when I am ahead I am still behind.
Probably not the smartest strategy since I would love to win this one. It is moves like that will keep me swimming the kiddie pond forever 😕
Never mind that it is a really great contest. The judging based on engagement is genius.
The rules are changed for this week only, but I am considering a move towards allowing a higher rep score to expand the pool of talent to be featured each week. Haven't decided fully, but trying new things to mix it up a little.
It’s always good to experiment. To find out what works best.
I agree with @headchange. Although I believe you have quite a good number of participants, taking higher reps into consideration might raise even more interest.
And as I’ve been saying like a million times this week: it’s not because your rep score is over 50 that you can do without support from others.
It doesn’t matter which way you’ll decide to ho: you’re doing something amazing for the community
That could also lead to some higher rep people taking an interest in Pifc. At any rate I would love the opportunity to at least choose from the 50- 60 range now and then. You never know what may happen.

Thank you so much!! I had a family member in the hospital. Lost a bit of my Steemit time for a while. I am back in the swing of it now, for the time being at least.
It took longer than I would have liked but I am practicing. Leaning some new tricks to make posting a bit faster and easier.
I plan to reuse the format on this post over and over, only changing out the relevant bits.
