The Great Migration

in #people6 years ago

Living in Phoenix is great when the heat comes, you lose all of the old people in Sun City and the traffic is great. This week has been the opposite, and the great migration of the snow bird has begun. I have noticed that streets are more packed, restaurants have longer waits, and parking spots are scarce. This is all because of the great weather change, and temps being in the 70's. Not saying I don't like old people, it just makes for a really busy season, when 300,000 more people show up all at once. Kinda like when spring training happens here. CanAm-Carts.jpg

And of course there are the ubiquitous golf carts that you pictured. They're everywhere, even in the grocery store parking lot. :)

The best part is when they drive them on a 40 mph road, and only can pull about 25 mph so everyone is flying around them.

Hey, 25 MPH is pretty fast in a golf cart. They just need to keep them off the 40 MPH roads. Maybe Phoenix is going to catch on and make a golf cart lane instead of a bike line on the far right side. I'm just sayin...

Good for the economy. More cash flows

Ya, there are whole industries here that shut down, until these people show back up. I just notice the traffic, they are some of the worst drivers.

That’s unfortunate
You must be pissed off with their driving

nice post i like it dear @bigram13 , i upvote you ,
