PETS: 9 science-backed reasons to own a dog

I have always had animals growing up, from the normal; dogs, cats, birds, rats, mice, to the odd pet; A squirrel named Katy who technically wasn't our pet but she would come when you called her outside and would hand feed nuts and veggies from us. We also had a Mexican red knee tarantula named Jolinda who came from a movie set. She was cool for sure.

Currently we have a 5-year-old pit mix who is the best dog ever. She is sweet and loving and inspired me to make this post. Here she is if you haven't followed my blogs before. Don't you just love that doll face?
