Our eyes are a radar of tears. and that's good, because the tears are clean and protective.

Example:

Emotions such as sadness, pain or even a lot of joy cause the muscles around the lacrimal glands to contract, which causes the fluid to come out.

Some tear ducts at the end of the eye (near the nose) are responsible for removing the fluid from the tears, after having performed its function to clean and hydrate the eye.

Every time we blink, a small amount of this liquid is poured from the lacrimal glands to distribute it on the surface of the eye with the help of the eyelid and, at the same time, clean it.
