Danced Salsa, Kizomba and Bachata for special kids school supplies this June

With an invitation from Jilly who spearheads Volunteers in Cebu, my Steemians friends @iamqueenlevita and @fernwhenninja and I put on our gym attire and brought some school supplies to Citigym Waterfront Hotel to learn some dance moves and to donate some school supplies for the special kids of Bantayan Cebu.
he Cebu Salsa group was generous enough to offer free classes of Salsa,Kizomba and Bachata to attendees. I am not a natural born dancer but I did enjoy the event especially the Bachata which I find playful. The kizomba was so romantic and salsa was too fast for me.

Thanks to Levi 's artistic eye those three pictures are just awesome. To be honest it was my first time to see of her this year as we have been both been busy with our career.

Let's have a quick tour around Citigym at the lower ground floor of Waterfront Cebu City hotel and casino. I learned the same group offers Latin dances at 350per session .

I wonder what those ropes suspended in air are for I am guessing its for some air yoga or something. The place is very clean,high end, artsy and customer friendly with free drinking fountain ,sauna and many shower and change rooms available as well.

I especially like this part. My friend Rosemarie and I actually took so many selfies here for fun. I still have to ask her for copies though.

So,what did I learn from an hour of dancing? One, dancing can be a great way to introduce people as its awkward to dance with a stranger and not indulged in small talk. Two, some are better leads than others. To me it makes all the difference if you're a beginner. I danced with some who are patient and friendly they'd politely show you how to do better but not make you feel unadept while I danced with some who you'd feel you're just too invisible.Third,its a good way to connect people.I made new friends in a session.

So yes I would encourage people to dance as it lessens the stress level and it's a good work out as well.How much more for a charitable cause? In case you're wondering what I donated here they are :

Since Jilly informed me to give some coloring staff day earlier I went out to buy a 300pcs short bond paper then have my drawing books photocopied.That way I can reuse the original for a similar event.

One realization, the school materials are too expensive even at lowly store.Thus,I must encourage everyone to help the indigent student by their generous contributions on the hope that education would make up for a better country in the futue
