Last April 20 was my friend's birthday, I greeted him early in the morning just to say what's up but he didn't told me what's the plan for his birthday. After a few hours, he messaged me through facebook messenger saying that we're going to Crab Island and without a doubt I accepted his offer. Before we go to the said place, we invited some of our friends that weren't busy at that time to come with us and without any further questions they accepted the invitation.

On our way to Baliwis road we bought two lechon manok, water,1.5 liter coke, Tanduay 65, ice, and alot of puso(rice wrapped and boiled in a triangular casing made of woven coconut leaves) cuz we haven't ate lunch yet so we decided to just go eat when we arrive there.

Going to Crab Island ain't that easy especially when it's high tide because you still need to walk a few meters just to reach there while the sea water is in neck level so it's tough while carrying whatever things you brought with you. When we finally arrived to the place, some caretakers were already stopping us by saying that we should not have come there cuz it's already "restricted" after a concerned citizen exposed the shady things that they do to tourists there via facebook. From what I heard, some locals from there finesse the tourists for some money asking for some entrance fee and a tourist guide's fee but the truth is you can go there for free. I was bummed when they told us to go away but two of my friends won't go not until we get to enjoy the place so the "caretaker" changed his mind saying that we can enter the place just for the day and never comeback and in our minds we're like, nahh we will definitely comeback because we're part of the locals here.

They were already a few people chilling at the place when we arrived but after a few minutes they all left and it felt good because it's like we own the whole place haha. Check out the other photos that we took and also shout-out to my friend for bringing his tablet despite having to cross a neck level sea water just to go to this island.

Overall the place was really nice but if you're not from here or don't know anybody that can guide you to go in this place, I wouldn't recommend it because this place is not that safe to go especially for tourists. For now Crab Island is strictly for locals only but I hope in the future they can do something about it to be accessible for other people that want to go here without exploiting the place for money by the locals themselves.
