RE: Men of many worlds

in #philosophy5 years ago (edited)

Why are evergreen/pine/xmas trees shaped like they are?
They adapted so the wind can blow snow off their branches.

Why are we shaped as we are? So we can climb trees and pick fruit.
But we have fallen from the trees and now dwell on the ground.

Now... we restlessly look for a habitat and invade all others, all parts of the world. Our thoughts are our tools now, as we wonder the habitats of our minds and this global, interconnected habitat / civilisation.

But nature still rules are movements and our temporary preoccupations, our quest for power and reproduction; survival.
Nature rules. The daily balance and exercise of our minds and bodies.

I like the way you have phrased this a lot :)

The way we try to divorce our physical selves from nature in so many ways is part of the reason we are getting so mentally ill.
