Background Behind Humours

There are multiple theories on the centrality of what influences us to laugh. A standout amongst most conspicuous is that humour is a way in which we are able to form a connection with people around us.

Humour has been likened by some people to play fighting. We have the capacity to create such bonds and to demonstrate weakness or engage in play fighting—relies upon individual personalities. So while a few people think that its simple to be hilarious and form relationships with large groups of people, others can only be funny (and therefore intimate) once they’re extremely close to someone else.

Closeness isn't the main part of humour. Many trust that laughter is a means of expressing dominance. A thought embraced by Hobbes and Descartes, among others. Furthermore, however, it's hard to extend this hypothesis to apply to all kind of jokes, there's surely a distinct brand of humour that’s based on a desire for supremacy.

We laugh at other people instead of with them. Humour is also an expression of culture—some jokes simply will not translate, for example—and can speak to certain characteristics of society.

What Has Made Me Happy Recently?

Many of you may have seen this guy before as I know this is a popular video but I came across James Veitch recently. He goes through the venture of replying to spam email, and I absolutely love it. It made my day as I would constantly keep laughing. I don't want to reveal too much, so I'll let you check the videos out and experience what I've been through.
