I agree with you that all interaction is social, even in the workplace or for motenary interest.
Steemit can be more than that, of course, and i think it is already.

What the beauty of this community ecosystem is that it empowers each of us to find our place and utilize it for both our own needs and the needs of others within the community.
Because of the variety of options here, there may come a time when people will see steemit in the same way they saw the big department stores when compared with the many individual specialized stores.
The inclination to stick to the known and replicate it will always be there, but i think this platform is organic enough to allow
imposed containment.
