Independency Stops You From Getting Help?

in #philosophy5 years ago

Young kids relying on parents would one day grow up, and they would want to become independent grownups, unlike the way they were when they were kids.

This thought somehow got twisted along the way.

No. It’s not that they want to be dependent all of a sudden. They still want to be independent. But the way they interpret independency is that they want to achieve life on their own solely. They don’t want anyone’s help in any form. That’s what they call independence.

Without assistance of any sort, these once young kids grow up miserable, failing out anything they’ve tried.

It’s an obvious reason why they don’t want any help…Too much pride. Their ego gets in the way.

Those who don’t ask for help and could achieve something are usually those with people helping them all the way through, but behind their back, without them realizing what is being given to them.

No one knows everything! We all need help here and there. When you realize that we are all asking for help in different areas, why do you think you need to be led by your pride instead? And let it get into your way to happiness?

It doesn’t matter if it is pride or anxiety that stops you from asking for help when you most need it, it’s time to get over it and ask for that much-needed assistance today! Life becomes more meaningful working together with others. Don’t go solo. Life is not how it works to be meaningful.
