---- Idiocracy 101 - Emergeny Services Inundated With Calls Because of Facebook/Insta Outage----

So its seems that Facebook and Instagram have been down for a while now, people have not been able to access areas of the particular social media platforms for some time, sounds pretty standard right ? well... no... Apparently there have been an incredible amount of calls made to emergency services number 000 (equivalent to calling 911 in the USA).
The police have have stated that "they know facebook and Instagram are down" and requested that the public please stop calling to tell them about it, there is nothing they can do about it. This message was put forward as public announcement on morning news shows such as Sunrise as they reiterated the message, do not call 000 as it is for emergencies ONLY.

This is legitimately concerning, i ask what is becoming of humanity when these kinds of things happen. Its is becoming abundantly clear that the general intelligence of the populous is falling to the wayside. It is and always has been made incredibly clear that calling emergency services is for emergencies only.... i mean, its in the name.
Yet people 'feel' so distraught that they cant access their social media that they feel it warrants an 'emergency' and they need to call for help. not because there is a catastrophe, a car accident, someone is injured and their life is in danger. No... its because they have 'feelings' of discomfort because they cant 'internet properly'
This is incredibly reflective of the times we are living in at the moment, people have 'feelings' and 'think' they are being assaulted, attacked or hurt. Precious little snowflakes who cant get what they want, when they want, how they want and aren't happy about it. They then need to make sure people know it by throwing a tantrum, shove their autonomy in others faces... making out 'its an emergency'.
Its an outage of two (2) social media platforms, relax!!! its NOT AN EMERGENCY!!! why not take this time to do things other than look at a screen, take a walk, interact with people, listen to some music, read a book, eat a friggen burrito.... the options are almost limitless.
Honestly, if we don't start curbing this behavior i fear what is in store for the future of humanity... we once feared 1984 was what we would turn into and we are already a good part of the way there. Now? well i think we have our new milestone set with the film 'Idiocracy' and we are well on our way to getting there too....

They aren't getting dumber! I suggest you research "The Flynn Effect" before you make such slanderous remarks. Also, Facebook acts entirely like a drug delivering dopamine to the reward centers of the brain, so these people are quite literally experiencing withdrawal, which can seem like an emergency. I knew you were a hateful bigot, but this post really proves it.
