What is it that you are looking for in your life?

Some people are looking for security, others for adventure, others for happiness while others for communication (I excluded money which is pretty obvious).

And generally speaking no one seems to be happy...Whether they have a family, or being single something always seems to be missing and they don't not feel as they would like to feel. Having family, often feels that their partner does not understand them or does not support them...

And they feel lonely....

The same goes when one is alone, he also does not feel that he can turn somewhere or to someone which is willing to hear him and show compassion.

And the time is passing by and everyone is hunting their tail, stunned by the overcrowding to understand what is it so wrong and they do not feel well. Despite the fact that they seemingly succeeded in achieving goals they had set in the past...

However, they still feel incomplete....

The question is, of course....

If what they believed to be their goal is really true. Or if what they once aimed at was nothing but the influence of their environment. An adopted world view that has no relation whatsoever with what there truly exist within every man...

Let us say that a man grows with the general atmosphere of having to find a mate, to get married, grow up children and ensure safety and happiness for his family. And on the way, his choices are determined by the deep need to succeed this objective....

In this endeavor, his goal is the only thing that exists in front of him and many times, the man who will be the means to achieve the goal, is sinking, without even realizing that he does.

Social criteria and logical arguments make him choose a mate. And then comes the moment where all the goals have been achieved, but he does not feel the same satisfaction. And he wonders what is it he has to blame this time and he still does not feel good.
He thought he had everything settled in his mind and his life...

But time brings you to a zero point, where a man feels he can not go neither forward nor back. And that is the moment where the worst possible feeling is created. This really brings discomfort.

The feeling that there is no hope of something to change.
So when he finds out that emotion is equal, or even more important than common sense, it is usually too late.

Having spent a lifetime, consulting logic to determine his goals, he reaches to a moment where he can no longer feel.

And I wonder...

How could it be different, since he didn’t trust his feelings and emotions not even once? He left it aside to direct his life based on a logic, which he’s not certain it was his choice in the first place....

But it was a logic directed by the commands of society and parents. He designed his life, he literally executed the plan and got to a point at which he feels very very bad...and still, something seems to be missing...

And he wonders what is going on.
And it does not even come to his mind that the plan was not even his own.

Perhaps, eventually, without understanding how, lots of us live someone else's life.
How much happiness and balance can one find, living someone else’s life
??

Thanks for stopping by
Until next time...

I once read that many people live their lives as if it were a market list, you graduate (ready), you work (ready), you get married (ready), you have children (ready).
And if something that COVID taught us is that we cannot leave for tomorrow the things that we like.
Then we must stop making that list self-imposed by society and look for that spark, that which we are so passionate about and start working for it.
And if we don't like something, good next. Life is too short to live depressed, and stop doing those things that we love so much.

Personally I feel that life is nearly 100 percent what we choice to think about it.

It is our expectations of how things should be that cause us unhappiness.

When I catch myself feeling angry and fearful I just try to find a new angle to view it from.

I just try to find a new angle to view it from.

One that you hadn't considered as an option till then?

I never have expectations from others. Really. That's a gift actually. Those who know me say that I am indifferent.
And I usually respond that I only have big expectations from myself.. which is often a double edged razor
