Ignorance is bliss and I think people choose to look away, but I guess it's possible some people are just severely brainwashed and victims of a brilliant design that has been controlling the planet for probably thousands of years if not longer.
It's called organised religion. True evil, and the thing that has controlled humanity for thousands of years, and whilstever people are afraid of death and choose to believe there is an even better place to go after they die, the control and evil will never end.
I'm glad you put the word organized there, because otherwise I'd have to explain how I believe personal religions can not only be a good thing, but are sort of.. Inescapable in my opinion.
But yes.. It's these "mass forms of belief systems" that are one of the main problems, it's literally like mind control. And.. Countless wars and innocent lives have been lost because of such, and as I'm sure you know it spreads into almost all other areas as well especially politics in a localized governmental sense.

Also I highly agree that fear of something in the next life, is one of the main cruxes they use. What a power! To convince people you know what happens when we die.. Or that it could be really good or really bad depending on whether you believe them or not..
As long as people continue to fear such things, and fear for their own physical lives in terms of terroristic threats, and the need to go drop bombs on foreign people and all that kind of stuff.. Things will continue to be rough. Thanks for the thoughtful feedback nathen007.
Great reply. Fear is sadly the great driving emotion, and organised religion works by playing on peoples fear and brainwashing them into irrational action, hence maintaining control. Abrahamic religions all started out from the fictional Moses and then went on to divide into their own power groups and have been fighting ever since.
Thanks! And I agree. Well said. Doesn't seem to be changing any time soon, but maybe in time we can help people see these kinds of things more by talking about it more ourselves when the opportunity presents itself. :) I'm a big believer in the possibility of a better future and major part of that is just talking about these kinds of things with each other and people unfamiliar with such. ESPECIALLY people unfamiliar with such.
