Too many people run from the word Occult --believing it to be negative, dark, evil. It can mean those things, of course. And in that context Occultism can be dangerous by its very nature. Mysticism and occultism are related because both are hidden except for the initiated, and both can use symbolism as a force.
Since these hidden forces use baby steps in their teachings, you are doing the right thing by attempting to bring knowledge to the uninitiated. Go to your inner sanctum and look for the good knowledge.
I agree! Occult isn't a negative thing at all, the spiritual world is often referred to as the occult since we can't see it. It's the "dark occultists" who are a major threat to us. Perhaps I should be more careful myself with the word occult considering it has such a strong stigma to it.. Maybe I should just say "secret" and more people will get what I mean without being umm.. Repelled in a sense.
