The Beauty of the Paradox: People with a Good Sense of Humor Are the Saddest of All
I just cannot stop loving how full of paradoxes our world is. And while I was daydreaming today, I realized one the funniest paradoxes ever.
A good sense of humor can only bring your sadness
Doesn't make any sense, does it? Well, think more about it. Those people who don't have any taste in humor laugh from every single shitty joke and that makes them happy. They constantly smile. However, the ones who understand the complexity of humor ar look seriously at it (that's a mistake) always get burnt. Why? Because there are not enough of good jokes to keep you happy all the time.
Yup, people, who are too sophisticated to laugh at the silly jokes, most definitely have a good sense of humor (or none at all, but that's another tragedy), but what is the point? That is why I decided to lower my standards from now on... I want to be happy, you know?
Laugh at everything. Be happy. And screw sophistication. Let yourself be dull sometimes.
Oh, one more thing - by all means avoid becoming dull. Yup, you can be dull, but never ever let yourself become dull. What's the difference? Let me put it this way - laugh from every single joke because they are all funny, but don't let those low jokes get you. Smile at stupidity, but don't be stupid!
It sucks when you have a cracker of a joke and no one gets it, but deep down you know its the best thing youve said all year.

I've come to the same conclusion. I realized that not everyone can be TRULY funny, but people can still have fun. It's more of a general life perspective to not take things too seriously. I always try to keep my standards for funny low, makes things more fun.
yeah, it sounds like a bad idea to lower your standards at first, but it is actually a great thing :D That said, we still have to acknowledge the fact that we are laughing at bad jokes when they are bad.
