The Slate Mines Of North Wales
Many of the Quarys are flooded and abandoned today but they are like blue lagoons beautiful when the sunlight breaks through hits the clear water and rock faces offering diferent shades of slate grey, green grass, and green moss.
The mines were most active many years ago so less machinery and a lot more by hand which is evident in the amazing art like sculptured slate face of the quarry. The Welsh Slate is beautiful in color like a mix of grey and purple which gives off amazing patterns and detail when the sunlight hits.
Amazingly Beautiful.
