Misty morning in Cannon Beach
One of my favorite places on the North Oregon coast, Cannon Beach. Most mornings are misty as fog and sometimes rain roll in from the Pacific ocean.
The effects of light and shade is constantly transforming, especially if there is breeze along the beach or if shafts of early sunshine manage to break though the clouds.
The beach stretches for miles and I love taking a walk past the big random rocks that are shrouded in mist, giving them an almost mystical appearance.
Against the backdrop of color changing clouds, shadowed sands, and sound of the waves breaking one mind cannot be but calm, reflective and maybe spiritual.
On a silent summer morning
The sky's alive with light
Building in the distance
Surrealistic sight
On Echo Cannon Beach
Waves make the only sound
The only thing that helps pass the time away
Is knowing I'll be back at Echo Cannon Beach some day
