It does look like some sort of leafy green that you could eat. Wouldn't it be awesome if they planted more fruits and vegetables around the city. So that people just walking by could grab an apple off a tree if they wanted to. I guess you would have to keep that one person from picking them all and trying to sell them though :P
I had never thought of that but it would be so cool if they had fresh fruit growing around the city, but sadly I also think your concern would happen they would be raided in quite hours and sold to shops no doubt, or sold onthe sidewalk from right under the tree more likely
