Mountains with Snow

During my several hiking tours in Austria the last years i did several pictuers of the wonderful nature in the mountains. I find it always pretty exciting when you can see still snow on the top of the mountains but down in the valley everything is already green. I travelled around Austria to several nice places with mountains in the last years. The mountain you see on the first Picture is the Polsterlucke wich is near the nice Schiederweiher.

This second picture was done during my hiking trip on the "Dürres Eck" with some friends of mine, it was really a nice summer day and i enjoy it always to relax and forget the stress of my work in the nature. I think it is really relaxing letting the stressful world behind you and only concentrate on the nature around you. Maybe watching the people down in the valley when looking down from a high mountain.

Nice picture. The spring is great with sign of summer in the lowland and winter up in the mountain. It is a nice contrast.

Ah so beautiful, they really value nature, and preserve it. I only flew once over Austria via plane to Vienna, but didn't stay long enough to explore or visit the landscapes. But that time will come!

Thank you. Yes Austria is a nice place for nature, but a lot of habitats got destroyed in the last years. Every day there is a growth of the concrete surface for buildings and streets of about 13 hectare. This is about the size of 18 Scoccer fields every day. About 4700 hectare or 6570 Scoccer fields a year. I hope someone does something against it very fast. Because i know some big shopping centers that are nearly empty and unused.
