The old town of Nessebar

Some days ago I had the chance to visit Nessebar for the first time in maybe ten years or more. Nessebar is a sea town in Bulgaria and it’s famous with the old town, which was built on a peninsula (previously an island). Today both parts of the city are connected with a man made isthmus.

The old town hosts many ancient Greek and Roman ruins and nowadays the town is a part of the World Heritage Sites of UNESCO.

I’m was really happy to visit Nessebar right before the crowds of tourists start to flood the place and had a really peaceful walk around the old narrow stone paved streets.
If you happen to visit bulgaria, you must pin Nessebar to must-visit places in your list. Besides the ancient ruins it hosts a lot of Bulgarian traditional houses, which are very typical with their first stone floor and second wooden one.
