DSC_041.jpg

This photo was taken in the Atacama desert in northern Chile. The place is El Tatio Geysir field, situated 4.300 m. above sea level. It is the highest geysir field in the world with more than 80 active geysers which makes it the third largest geysir field in the world. The photo was taken at dawn. It was still dark and only 0 degrees when we arrived. Walking around this place as the sun rose, was like walking through a gigantic steam bath! There is a costant shooting of boiling water and clouds of steam, making it a spectacular sight.
