Forest Wedding - Steem Doing OK?
This was taken at a recent wedding, where they had the ceremony in the woods. It eventually got too cold, and we moved everything indoors though. Regardless, it was a beautiful day with the bride and the groom being especially welcoming and kind to everyone there. Definitely one of the more fun ones I've shot, especially since @yumyumseth was able to shoot it with me.
On another note, with the recent news that the bear market is affecting Steemit Inc., what are your thoughts on the 70% of staff being let go? While I understand sometimes you have to make hard decisions, and I'm glad it was made public (if it wasn't, it'd be a bigger deal) but I'm having trouble finding any positive way to spin it, other than they're doing what they can to keep it afloat. Question is, if the bear market continues will they have to let off more staff, and at what point is it too far to come back from? I know Steem isn't just Steemit Inc., but if Steemit Inc., is the base of everything else, you kind of need a sure foundation. Thoughts on this?

Nice framing on this. Agree it’s not great ways to spin it . But I think we need to move past steemit and let the other front ends take over . If they continue to run their nodes in the meantime until it becomes more distributed that will help. How low before people shut down witness nodes ; hmm good question. There is a lot more traffic now then when steem was down at 7 cents .
Yeah, and going from what everyone says on Reddit and Twitter, they all hate on it (mostly because of how certain users with tons of SP can play god), which I agree can definitely be discouraging. If they figure out a way to disable bots and have posts that only go to the top if they really are voted on a lot, that would help I imagine.. There's a ton of work that needs to be done to bring in a bigger crowd, and here's to hoping that it all stays afloat long enough. I guess we will find out in the coming months.
People like to winge . Steem will evolve and morph into something . All those platforms had their issues when they first started
