This time of the year in Australia is beautiful. The winds are usually offshore almost every day, so the ocean is nice and clean. There is usually clouds hanging around which can provide some amazing light, although its a game of luck as you pretty much need to be in the water because it doesn't last long.

when does the eastcoast of australia has the best swell? is it around january or better in the winter month
Thanks a lot. Yep, a wave slowly about to break being held up buy the offshore wind. Best time is now, off shore winds with big southerly & easterly swells!
leaving the country soon. hope I can still catch some waves before we leave. Was in Byron a few weeks ago and it was quite good. Will be in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast the next days.
You should get some swell making its way up the coast in the next few days as it was fairly sizey down here
