Devils Gullet

Towering dolerite columns at Devils Gullet plunge into the Fisher River valley and the remote Tasmanian central plateau. The storm engulfing Clumner Bluff (1559m) was directly overhead a few minutes earlier with white out conditions and summer snow. The dolerite columns are over 220m high and form part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, on the northern rim of the Great Western Tiers. Tasmania, Australia. I sold this shot to the Tasmanian National Parks Service so you can actually see it on the information board at the entrance to this lookout which is kind of cool.
