Electric Night
Lightning is always beautiful to watch, from the sudden brilliant flashes of light to the bone rattling thunder. You can't help but feel this raw power of nature.
I had a bad thunderstorm hit my blog and account a few days ago. It temporarily knocked out the power and did some property damage. fortunately the power is back on and almost all is repaired but also it looks to me like there's a rainbow coming out. Sometimes its amazing what beauty can follow a storm!

At first, I thought, this was genuinely one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen, but after thinking and googling about the repercussions, that has become a slightly more terrifying picture haha.
I agree the lightning is most beautiful. It can be terrifying having lightning strike close by when photographing the storm. I have had it happen a number of times. Thank you!

Its shot on film with a Pentax 6x7-2 medium format camera. I use adobe photoshop to edit. Thank you.

Wow, those are some impressive shots with the red rocks as a backdrop. I don't even know how people capture lightning in photos... I have a hard enough time with hummingbirds!
I must say it is not in any way easy. I have spent an enormous amount of time chasing lightning photos. Its not for everyone. Thanks for your interest.
