The Alexia 2018 Professional Winner is Rena Effendi
"The Alexia Foundation is pleased to announce that the winner of The Alexia 2018 $20,000 Professional Grant is Rena Effendi for Spirit Lake. The project examines the effects of trauma perpetuated by the recurrent sexual abuse on Spirit Lake reservation in North Dakota and the role of traditional healing in overcoming pain."
