Yayyyyyyyyy... It's FRIDAY!!!

And it's been ages and ages (sorry, Denise @dswigle) since I posted for this special challenge by this special friend of mine...

I always feel I got to top my last #MarketFriday hence I'm reluctant to come up with an overly simple post! That's my story, and I'm sticking to it! Lol...

So, some time last week when I posted More Randomness she said it was a perfect MarketFriday post! And that every time she spends a nickel, it could be MarketFriday!!

So, to cut a looongg story short, all these photos here would involve spending a nickel or two, or more... Hope you enjoy them!

Okay, we're still walking around Kuta, Bali's well-established tourist strip cum surfing destination... with lots of restaurants, shopping centres - big & small, hotels, motels, all sorts of eateries (as you will see...) and basically a great hang-out area!

We walk out of our lunch place and I see this horse carriage clip clopping past!
Grabbed my camera and caught a shot!
Not the best as it was right in front of me, giving me no manouevring space at all!
At least I didn't cut off its head... or the carriage's tail...

Talking about eating places, I kinda love that they are all a little hidden from view
The Balinese are great at creating little oases, havens for hiding away from the sun, the crowds and just basically to have a cozy meal, or a breather with a drink or two!

And you can find cuisines from anywhere in the world here in Bali
This happens to be an Indian restaurant, and I posted on a Greek restaurant awhile ago
We went for local Balinese and Indonesian food... so didn't try these though

This guy provides a mobile coffee and snack break for the busy shopkeepers and staff manning the stalls, who can't get away for a drink
Basically he walks up and down the street with his load, stops when a customer calls out to him
Makes your cuppa right there on the street side and serves you there & then!
Wanna a snack? He has that too!
A travelling barista and snack stop!
How do you like that?!!

Right across the street is this street side 'shopping complex' which actually consists of stalls right down a narrow lane with almost anything a tourist could ask for!
Local handicraft, clothes, hats, bags, souvenirs and all sorts of knick knacks!
Even tattoos! And spa services too!!

It serves a large outdoor lounge-like area together with some outdoor eateries

And then this beer-cycle-truck-whatever comes driving by...
Complete with a bar, bar stools and individual cycles
Have a beer and see the sights.... why not!

A little later, when we got tired walking most of the way down the street to the whereabouts of the Hard Rock Hotel and Cafe, where niece and nephew wanted to check out the goods there, it was time to have a cold one...

A gelato!

What else?!!!

Yummm, two scoops each!
There are lots of places selling home made gelato there
A good thing thing too, seeing as it can get pretty hot walking around...

Look who we found on the street when we were walking back....
A Transformer character!

Well, there were two of them...
Not sure who this red Transformer is, I only know the yellow is Bumble Bee! 😬

Niece eagerly went to do a selfie with Bumble Bee and was immediately approached by a friendly Balinese lady who politely requested for a fee!
We had missed the signs for a photography fee!!

And finally, yes, finally we are at the end...
I came across this restaurant with everything on its neon sign in Chinese!
I think it's a seafood restaurant... Aren't I smart?!!! 😁
Or it only sells crabs(?)
Errr.... no, I don't read Chinese... sorry!
I was as much fascinated with a solely Chinese sign as I was with that giant crab!
