How to load and fire a 17th century canon - CapeTown Castle | DTUBE Exclusive

Not often do you get to experience first hand, the priming and firing of a 350 year old canon!
This video clip was taken at the Cape of Good Hope Castle in Cape Town, South Africa. The "gunner" demonstrates the cleaning, loading, and then firing of the canon. The explosion was so loud that being startled, I dropped the camera at the end - hence the rather abrupt ending!
