I've heard that the most effective method is not to upload short posts of only 1 or even 5 photos per post. The best thing to do is to upload a series of 14-15 photos, complete with an intro about the photo series and a bit of background (who you are, what type of camera you use, etc).
That way, your post will get upvoted and promoted more.
