Story
My partner Emily and I went out to watch this storm move in at sunset last night.
As the sun was setting the storm was still to far off in the distance to capture much in the way of lightning strikes but the storm cell itself had some amazing structure and as it got closer almost looked like a spider web in places (I'll post a pic in the comments below).
The storm reached us about 20min after dark and was shooting out some amazing crawler lightning with the occasional CG strike. Then bam this happened. Crawler lightning coming from almost overhead and out to sea and then BOOM twin bolts exploded out in front of us. From the flow of the lighting and the sheer amount of light put off I knew this would be a fun photo... If it was in frame... And then seeing it in back of camera was a bit exciting... :O
More severe storms are forecast for this afternoon. My fingers are crossed for another great light show! Loving this great run of warm days and stormy afternoons we've been having :D
