Rosen und Weiber / Women and Roses
Das Europa-Rosarium in Sangerhausen ist nicht nur einen Reise wert, sondern punktet mit 8.600 verschiedenen Rosensorten und -arten, mit zahlreichen Formen-, Farb- und Duftvielfalt jedes Jahr aufs Neue.
Aber genau in diesem Rosarium stehen zwei merkwürdige Weiber und zwar als Denkmal - siehe Fotos.
Der aufmerksame Leser mag sich vielleicht fragen, warum ich nicht Frauen schreibe. Die Antwort ist recht simpel. Herr und Frau sind Anreden. Weib und Mann sind Bezeichnungen für Geschlechter bei Menschen. Da ich mich in meinen Beiträgen eher auf die anatomischen Unterschiede als auf Umgangsformen beziehe, erachte ich den Begriff Weib als Pendant (passendes Gegenstück) zu Mann treffender.
The Europa-Rosarium in Sangerhausen is not only worth a trip, but scores with 8,600 different rose varieties and types, with numerous shapes, colors and fragrances every year anew.
But exactly in this rose garden there are two strange women as memorials - see photos.
In the German Origin I wrote about the difference between Weib (Woman) and Frau (Misses). We Germans are using this words in a wrong way.
Aller guten Dinge sind drei. Daher hier mal drei Rosen. Wer die schwarze und die grüne Rose sehen möchte, der kommt nicht umhin nach Sangerhausen zu reisen. Ich empfehle dies ausdrücklich.
All good things come in threes. So here are three roses. If you want to see the black and the green roses, you have to travel to Sangerhausen. I strongly recommend this.
