My Stress is Your Viewing Pleasure: Releasing Anxiety by Creating

Oh there isn't much to tell really. I've decided to pack up my life, sell everything I own and move back to Indonesia. Things that would take someone months to plan, I decided to do within 8 weeks. Because up until 8 weeks ago I just wasn't sure if I could do it, no matter how much I wanted to. Then my sister asked me something.

She said, "You keep saving and saving. How much do you need to save before you move back? Give me an amount. What's the number?"

I said umm...

She continued, "You don't even know right? There will never be enough sis. Six months from now I'll ask and you'll say the same thing. I don't have enough saved up to make the move, I'm just not ready."

She was right.

So here I am, less than 2 weeks from my date of departure, with not enough money saved up for peace of mind but with the comfort that if I can just make it home, everything will be okay.

Unfortunately, I'm not one of those type A personalities that makes spreadsheets about what they're packing for 2 week holidays. I don't make daily to-do lists, or color coordinate my closet. I wish I was, I really wish I was! Right now, I'd give anything to be a neurotic ocd control freak. But I'm not :( Instead, I get so overwhelmed by thinking about everything that I'm SUPPOSED to do, that I DON'T do those things, and I edit pictures instead to unlace the knotted mound of nerves in my stomach.

So because I'm supposed to be taking things to goodwill, figuring out if I can register my photography business in the state of Texas within one week, watching client management software tutorials, ending my Sprint phone contract, and begging a friend to sell my car for me after I leave - I am instead sharing these pictures of Austin with you lovely Steemians.

You can tell I'm stressed because they aren't even portraits! I just needed to edit pictures so badly I chose these in-between images of Austin in the late afternoon light of fall. They are much easier to edit because you don't have to worry about skin-tone when adjusting the colors.

Hopefully, after this uploads, my brain will function like that of a normal-human being and go get very important stuff done. Wish me luck!
