Giant Spider on its Web

Dear Steemians,

Giant Spider on its web doing its security business spotted in the forest, I took all the photography during my adventure jungle exploration to aye forest. I sighted a a beautiful butterfly on a green grass besides a footpath in the forest, I bend down to gently took the picture, unfortunately this butterfly won't stable, looking at a side I sighted this giant spider on its bed, at the time of capture this photo shots, one fly was caught on its web, when this giant spider was concentrating on the fly, I was contacting on photographed.

We call that spider an orb weaver. We have many of them here at the @gardenofeden as well. Such black and yellow striking beauty, sharp pointy legs, and a zipper in the middle of the web. People are always astounded at how big they get--the body (without the legs) can be 2-3" long. Impressive to say the least. Thanks for sharing your find @davidad.

This is a beautiful spider, one so impressive it scares many people. I look forward to seeing them every year, such happy hunters to have near our garden. They wrap their egg in a little brown paper looking sack, which hangs in inconspicuous places until the following summer. One of my favorite spiders for sure. There's so much in nature to appreciate. Thanks for sharing our experience @davidad.
