"Meu Jeu" The Term in Aceh called Catching Fish with a Net

"Meu Jeu" is one of the customs or culture in fishing in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. For the fishermen "Meu Jeu" is done if they do not go to sea. therefore they do this.

"Meu Jeu" merupakan salah satu adat atau budaya dalam menangkap ikan di Nanggroe Aceh Darussalm. Bagi para nelayan "Meu Jeu" itu dilakukan jika mereka tidak melaut. oleh sebab itu maka mereka lalukan hal ini.

The habit they do is solely for the benefit and the fish they get will be sold in the market. The time that they often do is when the afternoon when the sun began to sink. Somehow it could happen I was looking for information about it. According to them the fishermen, Fish will eat if the time began in the afternoon and the sun began to sink. That's what they said.

Kebiasaan yang mereka lakukan ini semata-mata hanya untuk mencari keuntungan dan hasil ikan yang mereka dapatkan akan mereka jual di pasar. Waktu yang sering mereka lalukan ialah ketika sore hari di saat matahari mulai tenggelam. Entah bagaimana itu bisa terjadi saya mencari informasi tentang hal itu. Menurut mereka para nelayan, Ikan akan menjari makan jika Waktu mulai sore dan matahari mulai tenggelam. Begitulah kata mereka.

In the picture above two fishermen are seen being busy looking for fish in a dam. Sometimes the water at this damn recedes, also the water rises to the surface.

Pada gambar diatas dua orang nelayan terlihat sedang sibuk beraktifitas mencari ikan di sebuah bendungan. Terkadang air dibendungan ini surut, terkaang pula air naik ke permukaan.

In the picture above is the place for the fish shelter, If the fish is still alive then they save the fish to the "Kerambah". "Kerambah" is a place to keep the fish in net net underneath. how to make it too easy, Just need to form a net as big as a fish pond depending on the area of desire and length of the pond.

Pada gambar di atas adalah tempat penampungan ikan, jika ikan masih hidup maka mereka menyimpan ikan ke "kerambah". "Kerambah" adalah tempat untuk menjaga ikan di jaring bersih di bawahnya. cara membuatnya terlalu mudah, Hanya perlu membentuk jaring sebesar kolam ikan tergantung pada luas keinginan dan panjang kolam.
