মিষ্টি কুমড়া
বাংলাদেশে একটি অতি পরিচিত সবজি হল মিষ্টি কুমড়া । মিষ্টি কুমড়া গ্রামের প্রায় বাড়ির উঠানে মাচা করে চাষ করা হয় ।
পুষ্টিকর এই সবজি সহজেই চাষ করা যায় । মাচা উঁচু করে দিলে বাড়ির অন্য পশু পাখি যেমন ছাগল বা গরু নাগাল পাই না ফলে
ছাগল বা গরুর হাত থেকে এ ফসল রক্ষা পাই । কয়েকটা গাছ একসাথে লাগালে এটি চারিদিকে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে ।এবং প্রচুর পরিমানে মিষ্টি কুমড়া ধরে ।
মিষ্টি কুমড়া বেশ বড় হয় এ জন্য ফলন মোটামুটি ভালো হয় । এখন অন্য ফসল থেকে সবজি চাষ বেশ লাভ জনক । কারন সবজির বর্তমান চাহিদা এবং মূল্য অনেক বেশি । চাহিদার তুলনায় বর্তমানে সবজি চাষ কম তাইতো দাম বেশী ।
