The Synagogue of El Ghriba (La Ghriba)

HELLO, STEEMIT!

It is the oldest synagogue in Tunisia. The island of Djerba.
The La Ghriba Synagogue.

The Arabs call it like El Ghriba. What translates as .. a synagogue!
This synagogue houses one of the old Torah scrolls.

It is believed that this synagogue is more than 2000 years old!
Perhaps this is the oldest synagogue in Africa (And Tunisia is Africa!)

The synagogue was rebuilt in the 19th century.

The building is located near the Houmt Souk in the village Hara Sghira (Er Riadh)

Die Araber nennen sie El Ghriba. Was übersetzt als .. eine Synagoge!
Diese Synagoge beherbergt eine der alten Torarollen.
Es wird angenommen, dass diese Synagoge mehr als 2000 Jahre alt ist!
Vielleicht ist dies die älteste Synagoge in Afrika (Und Tunesien ist Afrika!)

Die Synagoge wurde im 19. Jahrhundert umgebaut.
Das Gebäude befindet sich in der Nähe des Houmt Souk im Dorf Hara Sghira (Er Riadh)
