Dandelion Photo Shoot

A month or so ago I took a bunch of dandelion photos that were not posted yet and I thought today is a good day to do it.

This year I had the chance to see the whole transformation process and I can tell you, it's amazing. I've never seen a similar flower, I believe dandelion is the only one having a second life (if I can say that) when the seeds are growing.

There are usually 54 to 172 seeds produced per head, but a single plant can produce more than 2,000 seeds a year. It has been estimated that more than 97,000,000 seeds/hectare could be produced every year by a dense stand of dandelions. source

No wonder you can find dandelions everywhere and no one cares for them although the plant is edible and has a bunch of health benefits.
