Difference with ice drift and freezing

The ice freezing, which is in the photo, differs from the ice drift by the following parameters:

• ice is thinner during freezing;
• during the freeze-up, the water level is lower;
• during freezing, there are no gulls on the river;
• when ice drift fog appears, and when it is frozen there is evaporation.
