Sails on the Opera
Did you know....
Every year, Chinese New Year is celebrated by lighting up the Opera House's sails in red lunar lantern.
It took 14 years to build it.
$102M was the final cost, instead of the initial projected cost of $7M.
It was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II.
This is where Arnold Schwarzenegger won Mr. Olimpia.
More than 8 million people visit the Opera House every year.
Inside is cooled by the seawater from the harbor. A system is installed so that it circulates the water through a series of pipes to power the heating and air conditioning.
Sydney Opera House is a world heritage.
And we (photographers) love taking photos of it.
