Kiwicide (Original Photography)

Howdy!

After completing a writing assignment, a short work from a kiwi fruit's point of view, I made a special trip to the grocery store to get a kiwi... as one does. If you read Spanish and want to see the poem, here's a link.

This post will focus on the photos.

^{Before the Slaughter} It looked so round and... furry?

^{Kiwi Twain} The cashier at the grocery store gave me a quizzical look, when I put a single kiwi and a frozen pizza on the counter. When she found out it was for a photo shoot, she wrapped it up gently and placed it safely at the other end. Health-wise, I should have probably gotten more kiwis and skipped the pizza.

^Kiwicide Kiwis present well. All those dark seeds surrounding a white center. The flesh is even translucent, which was fun to try to capture.

^{Kiwi Lips!} It didn't go to waste, either. There was a slightly brown spot, likely a bruise from where it was sitting among its hairy little companions. I cut that part off and ate the rest, even though I'm not all that fond of the flavor. No sense in wasting good fruit!
