Bikerni’s at Nagara Fort

It was summer and lazy Sundays... We don't like to sit at home and do nothing! So, decided to put a message in our girl riders group asking who is up for the ride. Unbelievably most of them replied and it was morning there were 6 ladies and 5 bikes. It's a good number usually every don't turn up.

So, we decided to ride to the western ghats and ended up riding to the place called Nagara Fort. History says the fort was built in 16th century and it is also known as Shivappa Naik's Fort. Now it is maintained by Archaeological Dept. The Fort is built in such way that it is surrounded by water around the fort to increase the safety. When you enter the fort you can see the panorama view of surroundings like near by villages and on the side western ghat. Most of the monuments are ruined in fort and you can hardly identify few things like Darbar Hall(king's court), temple area, akka tangi kola(tank) and cannon.

I feel monsoon or post monsoon will be the best time to visit this place. When we visited everything was dried up and it wasn't so scenic. When I googled the picture most of the pictures were taken during the monsoon and it was very beautiful.

Moreover it was a wonderful ride with the beautiful ladies and looking forward for much more rides with these ladies :)
