What we call photography is actually recording the light. The camera is not a simple invention. They worked on it for years. Especially after the industrial revolution, the economic and social development of the societies, the desire of people to immortalize their own images, accelerated the development of photography.
The history of the photographic machine is very old. Its history based on before Christ. But I will not go into that detail. I will talk about more Black and White Photography. Black and white photography is a passion. I think that in a black and white photo, if the composition is used correctly, it can be much more effective, more emotional, satisfying and memorable than color photographs. Nowadays, in the era when photographs like fairy tales are taking place and technology is moving at incredible speed, this photo-shooting technique requires a different look at the objects and the light.
Where Should We Take Black and White Photographs?
If we were to take black and white photos outdoors, we should choose places where there are lots of shadows. Shadows are one of the most important elements of black and white photography. The blackness of the shade makes it much more dominant in a black and white photograph. Do not miss it if you find a place with sequenced shadows.
Where Shouldn't We Take Black and White Photographs?
Black-and-white photographs may not always be as attractive as color photographs. Sometimes poor compositions can occur. For example, indoors. If you do not have an extra source of light in closed areas, do not take black and white photos. Environment is dark already, if you take a black and white photo, it is not gonna be nice.
Light in Black and White Photography
In color photography, morning and evening are the best times to take pictures of sunrise and sunset. These are the times when the light is the softest and the quietest. The color scale is most extensive at these time intervals. But this is not the case in black and white photography. It is not preferable to shoot early in the morning. This is also true for photographs taken at night. In this respect, black and white photography is advantageous in some ways compared to color photography. You do not need to pursue the Illa sun. You can make beautiful shots by using the street lights to go out in time.
The tip of day: Capture photos in RAW format. If your camera is not suitable for RAW shooting, make your shots colorful and then convert them to black and white using the programs on your computer.
