Cornflowers

in #photography5 years ago (edited)

Dear Steemies,
I spent three wonderful days in Bolhád - this is an area of Felvidék (the "Highlands" in South Slovakia - it was the Northern part of Hungary before annected by the former Czechoslovakia. For more details, see the history of Trianon dictate in 4th June, 1920).
I did not notice when we crossed the Slovak border, because there is no border control in this area any more. I had a feeling that I was still in my homeland. Almost the same hills, fields, flowers, and everyone speaks Hungarian.
When we stopped for a while to take some rest, I found some azure-blue cornflowers, blooming at the edge of wheat field.
Do you know cornflower is a herbaceous plant? It is mainly used for healing wounds.
