It's a great shot, but I can't identify the bird... my first thought was an eagle but the shape of the head doesn't look right. It could be though... the wings and tail have the right shape. Was it large, @daveks? Maybe it's a crow?
Honestly Keith, I don’t remember even seeing the bird at the time of the photo! Just saw it for the first time yesterday as I was selecting pics to post. It sort of does look on the large side though.
Whatever the bird was, you captured some great photos!
