Hey , happy people Steemians! Today is Friday and my conversation will be about the statues. Because @erikah invites us to take part in the weekly challenge on different topics. You can choose for themselves any option from the proposed tasks: https://steemit.com/esteem/@erikah/spotlight-27-29-august-sevendaysoutside-challenge-f0c01344c4efd
My city is so rich in various sculptures , statues that no one can give their exact number. But this question we often hear from the guests of our city. Only those of Federal importance - there are already more than 5,000, the rest is difficult to count.
Here you can find statues everywhere: in parks and squares, on streets and squares, on city embankments and even in yards.
There are statues of outstanding masters of world renown. People from all over the world come to see the beauty and splendor that have come down to us from the past centuries.
Many of them are well recognized and are the hallmark. Other of them are less well-known, but not inferior in their attractiveness.
Walking through our parks here and there you will suddenly notice the silhouette of some ancient goddess or a beautiful nymph.
The 18th century gave us the main masterpieces. Now it is all supported, restored and preserved for future generations. I am always interested to see how people look closely at every image , every detail of these sculptures.

I can't imagine you'll ever run out of statues for statue Friday @madlenfox.
There must be 100's of them in St Petersburg. 😊
I think my favourite one from these is the one with the angel. 😁
Oh, no, @gillianpearce, there are thousands of them here. :)
Thank you!
Me encantan las de Diosas y Ninfas. Muy lindas fotografías. Éxitos en tu trabajo amiga @madlenfox
Gracias!
WOW,amazing post @madlenfox .I guess you are from Italy judging by the art.I have once been to Rome for only a day and in a small walk around the city,I saw tens of sculpures and statues.Awesome photos too, they make you feel you are really watching them in person.
I'm from Saint-Petersburg , Russia :). In our weather, we are like London; the city is like Paris because it was built by many French architects; we are very similar to Italy and we are not in vain called the Venice of the North. Like Venice, St. Petersburg is a large open-air Museum. Thank you @knowhow92 !
Oh,I am sorry, the art just reminded me of Italy.
Keep up the good work :)
What a cool variety of statues thanks for sharing
