A Gift Called Today
How do we respond when we feel as though we've lived through an entire week of Mondays? Explode? Complain? Worry? Nag? Criticize? Take it out on the person closest to you? Take it out on a dog? Take it out on God.
What turns a small problem into a big one is often just a matter of perspective. Whatever is closest to us always looks larger than what may be off in the distance.
Our everyday annoyances look a lot smaller from the vantage point of heaven so why not stop and ask God for His perspective on our problems? That will help us sift the trivial from the important and choose how we should handle a problem instead of just reacting to it.
Today is a gift to celebrate, not a burden to carry. But the choice is up to us.
