Getting really close

Here is photo that I took yesterday in my backyard. I have never seen spider big like this, we don't have those kind of spiders in our village, this is really rare. It looks pretty awesome if you ask me. :D

I edited this photo on Lightroom by increasing shadows and lowering highlights. I added some contrast to increase mood of this photo and to look little more scary.

What lens and camera did I used for this?

As you can see I used Revuenon Special 35mm 2.8 and two lens adapters for that. First adapter was M42 to EOS because this is M42 lens and you need adapter to have to place in your camera, I used Canon 600d. Second adapter was 52mm to EOS reverse adapter.

Why two lens adapters? I'll explain you.

So I wanted to take macro photos with this lens so I had to reverse it. I took my reverse adapter 52mm to EOS so I can apply it to my Canon camera. With this adapter you will get really close to your subject and magnification will be pretty big. Second adapter I had to use. Why? Because some of old M42 lenses have one pin that is on side of lens where you attach it to camera.

This pin is used for changing aperture of lens. When you change your aperture on this lens without pressing pin, your effect won't be changed. By pressing pin, your aperture will change like you want. So I used my M42 to EOS adapter so I don't have to press this pin by myself. Adapter will do its job so I don't have to.

About 70% of M42 lenses have this pin for aperture so you had to by M42 adapter that has this capability of pressing it while screwing it to lens. If you are willing to buy some of M42 lenses you had to buy M42 adapter that will be compatible for your camera. Just be sure that adapter is good and have notch that will press that pin. Some of M42 adapter doesn't have this.

You can see that adapter on left side doesn't have that notch and it won't press pin, so you keep that in mind.
