A photographer challenges herself to photograph in "ugly" locations, see the results.

Professional and amateur photographers see different things when they look at the same place, and this story shows that professionals can do wonders even with minimal resources. To challenge herself, Jenna Martin brought her camera and model to Lowe's:

"Instead of looking for the usual pretty locations around where we live, I had the idea of ​​doing just the opposite, " 

"I wanted to go somewhere 'ugly' according to all the standards of conventional photography and see what I could do with it. Lowe's seemed like the perfect option."

"I wanted somewhere with horrible lighting and limited funds. Some place that did not make any sense to do a photo shoot"

 

Before starting to photograph, Martin set some rules:

1) They had to work with what was already there. The photographer took only her camera, without any artificial light or props;
2) They could not reorganize the exhibitors or make major changes;
3) They would stop photographing if someone else appeared in the background.

As soon as we entered, an employee asked if he could help us and I asked," We're just going to take some pictures, can we? "He replied," Sure! I was just wondering why she was so arranged for a trip to the hardware store! "Martin and his model had about an hour before the store closed, so they started their photo shoot in narrow, wide aisles, in front of samples of paint and trees.

"In general, this has been a very fun challenge! Not that I'm going to invite a real customer to do a photo shoot at Lowe's (well, never say never), but the result left me quite happy! Long live the horrible locations! The next time you see an ugly site, maybe you have to give it a try, you never know what you're going to end up with. "
